Program Description:
The Computer Support Specialist is a 200-clock hour program that covers the diagnosis and repair of computer hardware and software problems. Computer Support Specialists might: repair customers’ machines for a computer repair company; help maintain the hardware and software belonging to a company or governmental agency; or work at a help desk, aiding callers to repair problems encountered while running software.
Entry-level jobs include Information Technology Specialist (IT Specialist), Support Specialist, Computer Technician, Computer Support Specialist, Help Desk Analyst, Technical Support Specialist, Network Support Specialist, Network Technician, Computer Specialist, Computer Repair Technician, Customer Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, and such.

Program Length:
The Computer Support Specialist program takes approximately two months to complete.

Admission Requirements:
Individuals applying for this course are required to:
- interview with an admissions counselor;
- be at least 17 years of age (applicants under the age of 18 require written permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to enroll, and a parent or legal guardian must sign the enrollment agreement); and
- present proof of secondary education (high school diploma or GED certificate) or
- in the event the applicant is unable to provide proof of secondary education, achieve a passing score on the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (Verbal 200 and Quantitative 210) for English-speaking applicants (or students seeking enrollment in an all-English vocational program), or a passing score on the Wonderlic Spanish Scholastic Level Exam (13 correct answers, equivalent to High School functioning level) for Spanish speaking applicants seeking enrollment in a vocational program that includes ESL.
Multiple opportunities are allowed for retaking the same entrance test, having the students to wait a minimum of five calendar days prior to retaking the test; students will be allowed to take a second entrance test on the same day if agrees to take a substantially different test.
