 Program Description: The Entrepreneurship Program provides the students with an understanding of the process of new venture creation and the management of entrepreneurial and small businesses. To accomplish this mission, different adult learning dynamics will be used to study innovation, idea generation, venture financing, financial analysis of projects, market research, industry analysis and the strategic planning process.  Entrepreneurship students will learn how to assess an industry and it environment for entrepreneurial opportunities, assess the commercial potential of an idea or innovation, develop a complete business plan including a strategic plan, marketing plan, pro forma budgets and financing requirements, and develop an effective presentation for a new venture proposal. Entrepreneurship students will be prepared to start a new venture, be a productive member of an entrepreneurial or small firm, assume responsibilities in a family business or become a productive entry level manager in a growing business.  Graduates from this program usually work in offices of small to big size organizations (public or private) in retail, manufacturing or service industries. Examples of work settings where they might expect to find jobs are: schools, hospitals, corporate settings, government agencies, retail outlets.  Sample job titles include: Office Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, First-Line Supervisor, Office Supervisor, Team Leader, Administrative Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Assistant Supervisor, and such. Â
